Claire Murray advises clients on federal energy policy, drawing on her experience advancing clean energy legislation and tax incentives.
Claire Murray is a government relations professional with a passion for advancing energy and environmental policy. She discovered her love for policy and advocacy while interning in the U.S. House of Representatives during college, an experience that sparked her career in public affairs.
She went on to serve on the government relations team at Breakthrough Energy, where she became a lobbyist and helped move critical energy policies forward at the federal level. Her work spanned a wide range of issues, including carbon dioxide removal, agricultural innovation, transmission modernization, clean energy tax credits, and clean hydrogen development.
In addition to her legislative work, Claire led Breakthrough Energy’s engagement with the Tri-Caucus groups — the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), Congressional Black Caucus Institute (CBCI), and the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) — ensuring strong collaboration and partnership through events and outreach.
She remains committed to using policy and advocacy as tools to drive meaningful, lasting change in the clean energy space.
